A method of fullerene separation which comprises: bringing a fullerene mixture comprising two or more of fullerenes C60 and C70 and higher-order fullerenes having a carbon number exceeding 70 into contact with an amine compound having two or more nitrogen atoms, especially an amine compound having an amidine structure, in a solvent to form a complex of a specific fullerene contained in the fullerene mixture with the amine compound; and separating the complex from a solution of the fullerenes which have not formed a complex. Thus, a specific fullerene is easily and inexpensively separated from the fullerene mixture. |
