SHAFT CONNECTING STRUCTURE FOR STEERING DEVICE FOR AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft connecting structure for a steering device for an automobile facilitated in incorporating work.

SOLUTION: The shaft connecting structure seals a bolt hole 4b till a shaft 5 is inserted to a normal position by using an auxiliary member 6 when inserting a bolt 7 into the bolt hole 4b of an ear-shape part 4 for fastening after inserting the shaft 5 into a shaft fitting hole 3a in relation to a splined main body part 3 having the shaft fitting hole 3a and a yoke 2a formed in the main body part 3a and having a pair of ear-shape parts 4. The auxiliary member 6 has a presser part 6a for temporarily positioning the shaft 5 inside the shaft fitting hole 3a before inserting the shaft 5 into the shaft fitting hole 3a and a shaft support part 6b for positioning the shaft 5 in the axial direction when inserting the shaft 5.
