PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing unit for a vehicle with a rotational speed detection device which can be manufactured at a low cost while it is excellent in durability and reliability. SOLUTION: In the bearing unit for vehicles with the rotational speed detection device provided with an outer member 10, an inner member 1 composed of a hub race 2 having a wheel fixing flange 4 and an inner race 3 press-fitted by the hub race 2, double rows of rolling elements 6 accommodated between the both members, a cover 16 blocking the opening part of the outer member 10, a pulser ring 13 mounted on the inner race 3, and a detection sensor 21 fixed on the cover 16, while confronting the pulser ring 13, the cover 16 is composed of a bottomed outer shell 17 having corrosion resistance, and a bottom member 18 made of synthetic resin engaged on the bottom part, and mounting holes 23, 24 into which the detection sensor 21 and a fixing bolt 22 are inserted are formed, and at the same time, an opening part 28 is formed on the bottom part of the outer shell 17, and a projecting portion 18a which engages so as not to jut out of the opening part 28 is formed in the end face of the bottom member 18.
