PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for a shield tunnel capable of constructing at low cost by reducing the quantity of forms for molding segments. SOLUTION: In this construction method for a shield tunnel, segment rings 10 formed by circumferentially connecting a plurality of segments A1, A2, A3, B1, and B2 to each other are extendingly connected to each other in order in the axial direction. Taper rings 10a and 10b having a ring width continuously varying in the diameter direction and one or both end faces formed in a tapered shape are used for the segment rings. The taper rings 10a and 10b are connected to each other in order in the axial direction while bringing the tapered surfaces into contact with each other so that their center axes are aligned with each other to construct the straightline part S of the tunnel. With the connection angles between the taper rings in the circumferential direction shifted, the plurality of taper rings 10c, 10d, and 10e are connected to each other in order to construct the curved part C of the tunnel.
