A refrigerator comprises a compressor (12), and control means (14) for activating and deactivating said compressor (12) in response to the temperature inside the refrigerator, said activation and deactivation of the compressor (12) being carried out at predetermined cut-on and cut-off temperatures respectively. The control means (14) are adapted to detect how the actual temperature inside the refrigerator increases above the cut-on value due to an event which causes a change in such temperature (B), and to adjust the cut-off temperature of the refrigerator accordingly, in order to keep substantially constant the temperature of stored food (D). <IMAGE> |
