Method of reinforcing textiles

The spun-bonded fleece is made directly on the textile material (2) by laying down a number of filaments or filament sections emerging from a spinning nozzle arrangement. Spun-bonded fleece is applied in multi-layers on the material. It covers the entire area or is applied in sections, preferably within given outlines. It can be applied along outlines of cut-out sections. Further variations in accordance with the foregoing principles are elaborated. Application is computer controlled. Thermal bonding methods are used. The surface of the material is treated by corona-discharge. The method is operated continuously. An independent claim is included for equipment carrying out the method.
