The proposed charger for accumulator batteries contains a voltage converter with units for protecting the charger against current overload and overvoltage at the input of the converter, a rectifier, a unit for protecting the charger against fault connection of a battery, a charge current indicator, optoelectronic elements for isolating electric circuits, an automatic control and monitoring unit, and a switch for switching the power supply of the charger on and off. The advantage of the proposed charger is its versatility in operation and a possibility to automatically charge and continuously check the degree of charge of an accumulator battery.
