Use of a polymer as a levelling agent or anti-cratering agent, said polymer comprising at least one fluorinated unit represented by formula l,(Formula 1) wherein R1 is a moiety represented by CnF2n+1-(CH2)m-, ACnF2n-(CH2)m-, CnF2n+1-(CH2)m-(OCH2CHR5)p-, ACnF2n-(CH2)m-(OCH2CHR5)p, CnF2n+1-(CH2)m-X-, ACnF2n-(CH2)m-X-, ACnF2n-(CH2)m-(OCH2CHR5)p-X or CnF2n+1-(CH2)m-(OCH2CHR5)p-X ; wherein A = H, Cl, Br, I, a C,.,2 alkyl or a OCl l2alkyl, wherein 4 <= n <= 20,0 <= m ~<= 4 and 0 <= p <= 20, wherein X is a spacer moiety selected from the group consisting of esters, amides, sulphoamides, mercapto groups, polyurethane groups and alkyl groups, wherein R2 is H, a metal moiety, an (alkyl)ammonium moiety or an alkyl group, C,- (CH-, ACnF2n-(CH2)m- CnF2n+1-(CH2)m-(OCH2CHR5)p-, ACnF2n-(CH2)m-(OCH2CHR5)p, CnF2n+1-(CH2)m-X-, ACnF2n-(CH2)m-X-ACnF2n-(CH2)m-(OCH2CHR5)p-X or CnF2n+1-(CH2)m-(OCH2CHR5)p-X ; wherein A is H, Cl, Br, I, C1-12 alkyl or -OC1-12 alkyl, wherein 4 <= n <= 20, 0 <= m <= 4 and 0 <= p <= 20, wherein X is a spacer moiety selected from the group consisting of esters, amides, sulphoamides, mercapto groups, polyurethane groups and alkyl groups, wherein R3 and R4 are independently selected from the group consisting of H, alkyl-groups and phenyl-groups and wherein R5 is H and/or methyl group.
