PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make editing and printing output services for high resolution pictures such as photographs through a network with a practical price.

SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus stores high resolution pictures in a storage device, and transfers low resolution pictures to a server device. The server device which receives the low resolution images, transfers them to an information processing apparatus. The information processing apparatus executes editing process using the low resolution pictures, and sends the edited contents to the server device. The server device which receives the edited contents, transfers them to the image processing device. The image processing device edits the high resolution images stored in the storage medium following the received edit contents, and gives a printing instruction to a printer.
