<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an asynchronous readout circuit and its method that can reduce the read access time loss during the readout, when reading the state of a circuit operating, in synchronism with a clock by using a read signal which is not synchronized with the clock. <P>SOLUTION: In the asynchronous readout circuit 10 for reading the state of a timer circuit 1, operating in synchronism with the clock by using the read signal which is not synchronized with the clock, there are provided: a clock variation period detecting circuit 11 for generating a read-inhibit area signal, which is signal synchronization with either the rising or the trailing of the clock, and which is a signal indicating the time domain for inhibiting the readout of the state such as the timer circuit 1; and a latch control circuit for not validating a latch signal holding the output state in the timer circuit 1 during a period, when the read-inhibit area signal is valid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
