<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve engine efficiency by suppressing rise of back pressure. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with a low pressure turbocharger 41, a high pressure turbocharger 42, a shut off valve 61 shutting off communication between an outlet of a turbine of the high pressure turbocharger and an inlet of a turbine of the low pressure turbocharger, a high pressure side bypass passage 31 introducing exhaust gas to the turbine of the low pressure turbocharger with bypassing the turbine of the high pressure turbocharger and the shut off valve, a high pressure side bypass passage open close valve 61 provided thereon, a low pressure side bypass passage 32 introducing exhaust gas to a downstream side of the turbine of the low pressure turbocharger with bypassing the turbine of the low pressure turbocharger and the shut off valve, and a low pressure side bypass passage open close valve 63 provided thereon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
