<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air purification system capable of efficiently regenerating a deodorizing filter while preventing the leakage of an odor source substance from the deodorizing filter in regenerating the deodorizing filter. <P>SOLUTION: In this air purification system having an air flow passage 3 for sucking the air from an air inlet port 1 and discharging the purified air from an air outlet port 2, a dust collecting filter 4, the deodorizing filter 5, a catalyst activating means 6 and an air blower means 7 are successively mounted in the air channel 3, and the deodorizing filter 5 comprises a catalyst 8 capable of decomposing the odor source substance in the air sucked from the air inlet port 1 by being activated by the catalyst activating means 6. As the catalyst activating means 6 has one or a plurality of air channel opening and closing means 9 for closing the air channel 3 during the regenerating operation of the deodorizing filter for activating the catalyst 8, the odor source substance can be prevented from being released into a living space again by closing at least one of the air channel opening and closing means 9 during the deodorizing filter regenerating operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
