<p>Connecting piece (1) for connecting water fittings, especially bath and shower taps, to a supply line in a building wall comprises two connecting parts (10, 11) with external threads (100, 110) that are offset from each other in an eccentric manner. The connecting parts are joined by a central diagonal section (12). A passage (13) penetrates the two connecting parts and the diagonal section. Surfaces (14) for an assembly spanner are provided on the outer side of the connecting piece. At least two parallel assembly spanner surfaces are formed in the region of the external thread on the side facing the water fitting.
