PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide color photographic sensitive material having high sensitivity and exhibiting little degradation of sharpness even with a small amount of coating silver. SOLUTION: The silver halide color photographic sensitive material has, on a support, at least one each of blue-, green- and red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers which have (i) a specific sensitivity of≥350 and (ii) the coating weight of silver of≤7 g/m<SP>2</SP>, wherein (iii) one of the color-sensitive layers includes two or more silver halide emulsion layers different from each other in photographic sensitivity, and the layer having the highest sensitivity of the emulsion layers contains: plate-like silver halide grains having an aspect ratio of≥8 in an amount of≥70% of the total grain projected area; and normal crystal silver halide grains having an equivalent spherical diameter of 0.1 to 0.5μm in an amount of 0.5 to 5% of the total grain projected area.
