PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel which performs writing discharge stably and in high speed and can suppress rising of a writing pulse voltage. SOLUTION: This plasma display panel comprises a transparent electrode 22a, a data electrode 32 extending in the direction crossing the transparent electrode 22a, and a priming electrode 36 insulated electrically from the data electrode 32. The data electrode 32 comprises an auxiliary data electrode 32a formed over the data electrode 32 at the location closer to the transparent electrode 22a than the data electrode 32 and a connection part 32b for connecting electrically the data electrode 32 and the auxiliary data electrode 32a, and the auxiliary data electrode 32a is arranged so that at least one part faces the transparent electrode 22a.
