PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head capable of improving the attaching position accuracy of a magnetic core half body. SOLUTION: This magnetic head is constructed in such a manner that magnetic core halves 3 and 4 are inclined with respect to the perpendicular line T of a gap line S, locking pieces 7 and 8 abutted on the side faces of the magnetic core halves are formed in parts of a base plate 2 so that they project in the state of being erected on the plate surface of the base plate, tips are formed on the tip sides of the locking pieces to abut on the sides of the magnetic core halves and, in the base end part of the base plate side of the locking pieces, a curved line L with respect to the base plate of the part erected from the base plate is set nearly perpendicular to the side face of the magnetic core halves.
