DIAGNOSTIC COMPOSITION, ELEMENT, METHOD AND TESTING KIT FOR AMPLIFYING AND DETECTING TWO OR MORE DNAs HAVING SIMILAR MELTING POINTS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous composition containing primers for opposing strands of two or more target nucleic acids, usable in a polymerase chain reaction for simultaneously rapid and efficient amplification and detection of these target nucleic acids. SOLUTION: The primers for respective target nucleic acids differ in length by no more than 5 nucleotides and have Tms within the range of from about 65 to about 74°C, while the difference between the Tms are within about 5°C from each other. Such compositions above are useful in diagnostic testing kits and methods for amplification and detection of plural nucleic acids in "multiplexing", using multiple capture probes.
