PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that not only the voice of a remote end speaker but also the sidetone is subjected to band-spreading when band-spreading processing is simply executed to a signal coming into a reception route in a telephone device. SOLUTION: It is judged whether a near end speaker is in transmission by a transmission detector 102 for detecting the presence or the absence of the transmission. The reception signal is transmitted to a band-spreading part 104 only when it is judged that the near end speaker is not in transmission. By this, the distortion and the noise are not increased by the band-spreading of the sidetone when the near end speaker is in transmission.
