PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To omit the grinding work of a hammer and to simplify the engagement adjustment of the hammer and a knife. SOLUTION: In a cloth cutting device of an eyelet button holing sewing machine for perforating an eyelet hole on working cloth after or before forming button holing stitches with the cooperation of the knife 5 fixed to a sewing machine frame 1a through a knife base and the hammer 8 supported by the sewing machine frame 1a through a hammer supporting body 22, the hammer supporting body 22 is supported by a holder member 20 fixed to the sewing machine frame 1a in the shape of being internally fitted, an engagement adjusting mechanism 11 having a stepped pivot pin 23 swingably pivoting the hammer supporting body 22 to the holder member 20 and an eccentric pin member 55 provided on a part separated from a pivot part by the stepped pivot pin 23 of the hammer supporting body 22 and capable of changing the vertical attitude of the hammer supporting body 22 to the holder member 20 to an inclined shape is provided, and the engagement adjustment of the attaching attitude of the hammer supporting body 22 to the attaching attitude of the knife is made possible.
