PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod without causing a slip between a grip and a hand of an angler even when the angler performs a hooking movement in actual fishing. SOLUTION: The fishing rod is provided with a fishing rod body (a butt joint 17) equipped with the grip 12 and an engaging protrusion 24 provided in the grip 12. The engaging protrusion 24 has a flange part 29 and a body 30. The flange part 29 is formed into a conical shape and a shape for hooking a boundary part between the thumb 32 and the forefinger 33 of the angler. A leg part 27 of the engaging protrusion 24 is fixed to the grip 12 and has flexibility. The leg part 27 is composed of a coil spring. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
