[Also in Division B5] In a parison extrusion process the extruder nozzle outlet passage is defined by the tip of a mandrel and a ring member one or both of which are ribbed to impart ribs to the parison. The parison may be ribbed internally or externally along its length continuously or intermittently the ribs being of uniform or non- uniform depth or angular disposition. The parison is located in a blow mould and expanded to form a longitudinally ribbed bottle. |
