FIELD: mechanical engineering; hydraulic machines; sealing the revolving shafts. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed seal includes the sealing member, hold-down and under-packing bushes and union nut. Sealing member is made in form of split bush made from flexible material at parting plane made at angle relative to end surface of bush. Parting planes in semi-bushes being connected (two bushes at least) are made in form of projections and recesses; besides that each semi-bush may be provided with segments made from solid material. Parting plane may be made at angle beta relative to end surface of bush which may vary from 15 to 165°. End surface may be made at angle to bush axis. Projections and recesses may be made in form of triangle, rectangle or curvilinear form. According to one version, parting plane has form of toothed line with teeth at angle alpha relative to parting plane. ^ EFFECT: ease of mounting; enhanced reliability; improved service characteristics. ^ 10 cl, 4 dwg |
