PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-absorbing and quick drying property-imparting composition which is used for fibers and can simply and inexpensively impart a quick dry property to general fibers, clothes and the like mainly comprising cotton, linen or the like having excellent water-absorbing properties by a treating method such as a spraying method even at home without largely deteriorating the absorbing properties, and to provide an aerosol type water-absorbing and quick drying property-imparting composition for fibers. SOLUTION: This water-absorbing and quick drying property-imparting composition for fibers is characterized by comprising (A) 0.01 to 10 mass % of a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing (a) 20 to 60 mass % of a silicone-containing monomer represented by the general formula (I), (b) 10 to 30 mass % of a hydrophobic monomer represented by the general formula (II), (c) 11 to 40 mass % of a tertiary amino group-containing monomer represented by the general formula (III), and (d) 10 to 30 mass % of a carboxyl group-containing monomer represented by the general formula (IV) in a (a+b)/(c+d) mass ratio of 0.5 to 3.0, and (B) an organic solvent.
