PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting edge structure of a cutting tool capable of making an inner peripheral surface in an appropriately rough surface without generating incompletely broken chips when cutting the inner peripheral surface of a cylindrical member. SOLUTION: A rake face 3 of the cutting tool 1 equipped with a first cutting edge 11 at the upper end and a second cutting edge 13 at the lower end is pushed against the inner peripheral surface 21 of the cylindrical member 19, and the tool 1 is successively moved toward the direction of the major axis of the cylindrical member 19 while rotating and moving the member 19 in the peripheral direction of the inner peripheral surface 21 with the major axis as the center, thereby making cuts in the inner peripheral surface 21 of the member 19. The rake face 3 is inclined so that the side of the first cutting edge 11 is located toward the cutting direction from the side of the second cutting edge 13, whereby a relief angle in the feeding direction is provided on the rake face 3, and in addition the cutting tool 1 is successively moved in the direction from the second cutting edge 13 toward the first cutting edge 11.
