摘要 <p>The measurement instrument at the spool location (1), is calibrated by an additional measurement instrument built into the thread run. The velocity of the running thread (2) is measured simultaneously over an interval, by both the calibration- and spool instruments. The values are used to calculate a calibration factor (KFSP) allocated to the measurement unit and stored for evaluation of subsequently-measured results. The calibration measurements each indicate a length of thread passed through. Comparison of these lengths yields the calibration factor.</p>
