<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently withdraw a waste underground power cable which adheres to the inside surface of a conduit and impossible to be drawn out, for reuse of the conduit, with no possibility of disconnection. <P>SOLUTION: A power cable 3 which is to be withdrawn and installed in a conduit 2 is cut in a man hole 1. A flexible tube 6 having a peeling head 7 at its tip is fitted from the cut end of the cable over the outer periphery of the cable, which cable is pressed into the conduit while being rotated by a boring machine 4, and being supplied with water to the tip through the flexible tube 6. The adhesion part is cut with the blade at the tip of the peeling head 7 to release the cable 3 from the conduit 2, and then the cable is drawn out of the conduit 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
