<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CATV transmission system and a CATV transmission method capable of attaining a redundancy configuration without increasing the number of optical fiber cores. <P>SOLUTION: A feeder 105 feeds power to a node a apparatus 102, and remotely feeds power to a node a+1 apparatus by using a coaxial cable 106. The coaxial cable 106 is a cable generally in use and capable of transmitting even a CATV signal, and plays a roll of backing up the CATV signal of each node apparatus in addition to the usage of feeding. A feeding current from the feeder 105 supplies power to a power panel of the node a apparatus 102, is coupled to the backup use CATV signal with a feeding filter, and reaches the feeding filter of the node a+1 apparatus 121 through the coaxial cable 106. The feeder for supplying power to node apparatuses is not provided to each node apparatus, but one feeder supplies power to the node apparatuses as many as possible such as a plurality of node apparatuses comparatively distantly closer to the feeder and active apparatuses like relaying amplifiers on a coaxial transmission line attached to the node apparatuses. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
