PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical device having excellent contrast, viewing angle characteristics and the like, and also to provide an electric device. SOLUTION: In the electrooptical device wherein an electrooptical substance is encapsulated between a pair of first and second substrates, the electrooptical substance is aligned substantially vertically to the first and the second substrates, the first substrate is provided with first electrodes, the second substrate is provided with: second electrodes 20; switching elements provided so as to correspond to the second electrodes; and wirings for supplying signals to the second electrodes via the switching elements, and when the line width of the wirings and the distance between the switching elements and the second electrodes are defined as W(μm) and L(μm), respectively, relation of L/W>1 is satisfied.
