摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phenolic resin molding compound having good moldability, giving a cured product excellent in electric conductivity, mechanical strength, and high-temperature dimensional stability, and being desirable for the production of separators for use in a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The phenolic resin molding compound essentially consists of a condensation-type phenol aralkyl resin having a weight-average molecular weight of 500 to 15,000 and represented by the formula (1) and a carbon material. The content of the condensation-type resin having the weight-average molecular weight of 500 to 15,000 and represented by formula (1) is 5 to 35 wt.% based on the entire phenolic resin molding material, and the content of the carbon material is 65 to 95 wt.% based on the entire phenolic resin molding material. In the formula, R is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; Z is -CH<SB>2</SB>- or -CH<SB>2</SB>OCH<SB>2</SB>-; x and y are integers of 0, 1 or 2 provided that (x+y)&ne;0; and n is an integer of 1 or greater. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
