The inlet restriction apparatus comprises a longitudinal restrictor member 9 and at least one mounting element 11 adapted to locate the restrictor member adjacent a longitudinal drainage slot of a drainage channel section, with the mounting element(s) being adapted to enable movement of the restrictor element relative to the slot so as to vary the effective area of the slot opening. The restrictor element is preferably configured so that it is capable of sealing the drainage slot and may have a cross-section that corresponds to that of the drainage slot. The restrictor element preferably moves vertically relative to the slot and remains parallel to the slot while being moved. The movement of the restrictor is preferably adapted to be facilitated by a screw. Also claimed is a drainage channel section and a surface drainage system which includes the inlet restriction apparatus. |
