A system and a method of reproducing contents are provided to enable to look and listen pleasant contents by controlling sound field around the place. A unit acquires contents data(S52). A specific unit specifies a space transfer function reflecting the state of the space where sound data included in the contents data is reproduced(S54). A generation unit generates control sound data on the basis of the sound data included in the contents data and the space transfer function. And an output unit branches the sound data and the control sound data and then outputs them to each different speaker. The output unit has a function for synchronizing the sound data and the control sound data with a preset timing.
