METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR UPGRADING SOFTWARE OF MOBILE STATION AUTOMATICALLY IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION NETWORK

A method and a system for automatically upgrading software of a mobile terminal are provided to remove users' inconvenience of visiting a client center when a user wants to change defective software of a mobile terminal or according to a new supplementary service. A mobile terminal(210) requests to receive upgrade information, compares the received upgrade information with its software information, and downloads the upgrade data to upgrade its software if the received upgrade information is an upper version. A software management server(250) generates and stores the upgrade data with respect to the software used for the mobile terminal(210), and when the mobile terminal(210) requests the upgrade information, the software management server(250) downloads the upgrade data to the mobile terminal(210). A software database(260) stores the newly upgraded data of the software used for the mobile terminal(210) and also stores the upgrade information with respect to upgraded content.
