EXTERNAL INPUT/OUTPUT DATA CONTROL APPARATUS IMPROVING SYSTEM PERFORMANCE USING AUTOMATICALLY SET CONTROL PARAMETERS AND METHOD THEREOF

A device and method for controlling external input/output data is provided to add a logic for automatically setting control parameters in order to access an external input/output device after a system power is turned on. A system bus interface logic(210) receives system bus interface signals, latches and outputs the signals. A timing and controlling register(220) stores default control parameter(DCP) information and final control parameter(FCP) information. An input/output controlling logic(230) performs an initial setting procedure using the default control parameter(DCP) information, extracts the final control parameter(FCP) information for accessing an external input/output device, and stores the final control parameter(FCP) information in the timing and controlling register(220). The input/output controlling logic(230) controls the access to the external input/output device according to an interface signal outputted from the system bus interface logic(210).
