The method involves obtaining a channel switching distance to be criteria for switching communication channels based on allocation rates for the channels. A distance between a radio base station and a mobile terminal device (112) is detected. A communication channel of frequency far from a frequency band is allocated to communications between the station and the device when the distance is more than the switching distance. An independent claim is also included for a communication control device for controlling a communication channel between a mobile terminal device and a radio base station.
