A high quality sound digital radio broadcast transmission/reception system is provided to allow numerous audio broadcast services in case of transmitting/receiving high quality sound music broadcast to/from an ensemble having a 1.5M band by using AC-3 standards with a transmission rate of 384kbps. An AC-3 encoder(310) encodes an audio signal to the high quality of sound audio data of a multi-channel. A channel encoder(320) encodes a channel to minimize distortion or loss of an output signal of the AC-3 encoder(310) when the output signal passes through the channel. A DAB(Digital Audio Broadcasting) multiplexer(330) multiplexes a data stream outputted from the channel encoder(320). A transmitting unit(340) modulates an output signal of the DAB multiplexer(330) and transmits it.
