Method for removing viruses, in particular small non-enveloped viruses, from a plasma derived product, such as Prothrombin Complex Concentrate. The method comprises prefiltration to remove contaminating high molecular weight proteins, followed by nanofiltration through a membrane with an average pore size of 15 nm. The method is capable of removing > 5.1 log Canine parvovirus and > 6.0 log Hepatitis A virus.
