PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring/reporting system for easily checking the status of a line or the status of a sensor without providing any special tool. SOLUTION: This monitoring/reporting system is provided with a display operating part connected through a communicating means to a report transmitter which transmits report data to a report destination, and equipped with a relatively large display screen and an operation input means. The display operating part transmits a check instruction signal through the communicating means to the report transmitter in response to a check instruction input inputted through the operation inputting means. The report transmitting device executes a preliminarily stored check sequence corresponding to the check instruction signal, and transmits the check result obtained according to the execution of the check sequence through the communicating means to the display operating means.
