PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-weight and thin crimping terminal capable of carrying out both insertion coupling with a housing and insertion of a pin, without increasing a thickness of a rectangular cylinder. SOLUTION: Notches 3L, 3R are provided at pin-insertion side end parts of a left-side wall 1L and a right-side wall 1R of the rectangular cylinder 1 toward a depth direction. On a face crossing an outer periphery face of the pin at insertion further to the depth of the notches 3L, 3R, first chamfering parts 4L, 4R gradually slanting inward of the cylinder 1 are provided. On the other hand, on a face crossing an inner face of the terminal storage room at fitting of the housing into the terminal storage room at the pin-insertion side end parts of the left side wall 1L and the right side wall 1R of the cylinder continuing to a notching line at a bottom wall side of the notches 3L, 3R, second chamfering parts 5L, 5R gradually slanting outward of the cylinder 1 are provided.
