PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiograph information reader capable of downsizing the reader, also, processing fast stimulable phosphor sheet, and also, whose constitution is simplified. SOLUTION: A cassette 12 loaded from a cassette loading part 38 is held by a cassette holding part 52 once, thereafter, the cassette 12 is carried just under a reading part 42 by a cassette carrying mechanism 46. A cap member 16 is opened by a cap opening means 60. Next, the sheet is supplied to a reading part 42 and the radiograph information is read, thereafter, the sheet is stored in the cassette 12 again, then, the cassette is carried just under an erasing part 44 while keeping the cap member 16 open, and the sheet is supplied to an erasing part 44 and the remaining radiograph information is erased. The erasing-processed stimulable phosphor sheet IP is stored in the cassette 12, and the cap member 16 is closed by a cap closing means 74, thereafter, the cassette 12 is ejected to a cassette ejection part 40.
