PURPOSE:To enable to assemble a desired heat pipe, by a method wherein a container for a heat-receiving or heat-releasing part is filled with only a working fluid, is sealed by an easily breakable cap, and the cap is broken by an impact force of a cap breaker after assembly. CONSTITUTION:When producing a heat pipe by combining members, the number of pipes 16 for a heat-insulated part is selected in consideration of temperature conditions of the heat pipe, heat-receiving position, the intervals of the heat-receiving positions or the like, and the members are connected airtightly so that the cap breaker 17 does not make contact with the container cap 13. The breaker 17 formed of a material which is chemically stable to the working fluid 12 is placed in the pipe 16 for the heat-insulated part. A vacuum is drawn through an evacuating port 15 to establish a high vacuum in the container 11 and the pipes 16, then the port 15 is sealed, and the entire body is set upright. Either by naturally dropping the breaker 17 onto the cap 13 or by shaking the heat pipe in the vertical direction to produce impacts on the cap 13, the cap 13 is broken to complete the heat pipe A.
