Electrical signals to the windings 41 of a torque motor cause a flapper 38 to move relative to nozzles 42, 43 to thereby cause a valve 45 to move to control an actuator. Negative feedback may be provided between valve 45 and the flapper. A further flapper 51 is fixed at 52 to the housing and at 54, 55 to the valve 45 so that movement of the latter causes flapper 51 to vary the back pressure of a nozzle 57, thereby providing an output signal at 64 proportional to the position of valve 45.</p> |
