PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iodine removing efficiency testing method utilizing a gas chromatograph capable of enhancing detection precision using a non-radioactive isotope element, and to provide an iodine removing filter. SOLUTION: The concentrations of methyl iodide on the upstream and downstream sides of a filter to be tested are measured using the gas chromatograph equipped with a photoionization electron capturing type detector (photoionization ECD) and/or a hydrogen flame ionizing type detector (FID).
