PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein there still remains uneven frost melting when a liquid refrigerant in an evaporator of a refrigerator incompletely evaporates and partly remains liquid to cause, upon energization of a defrosting heater, a high load at a portion with the remaining liquid refrigerant and a low load at a portion without a liquid refrigerant, although straight pipe parts of a refrigerant pipe of the evaporator are arranged horizontally relative to a refrigerator body and the refrigerator is installed horizontally by a height adjustment in the installation position so as to eliminate such unevenness. SOLUTION: A refrigerator is constructed for design simplification by suppressed unevenness of frost melting in the same model. The refrigerator has an evaporator 8 installed at a slight tilt that is apparently conventional horizontal installation. The side where a liquid refrigerant stays can be identified as the right or left, and a structure design and a control design can be simply made accordingly. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
