PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for analyzing expression profiles by promptly and comprehensively analyzing an enormous number of the expression profile data for genes and/or proteins to enable phenotype-involved genes and/or proteins to be detected from those of small expression ratio.

SOLUTION: The system 10a works as follows. In a transformation section 22, expression profile data obtained from microarrays 51 are subjected to arctan(1/ratio) transformation, and based on the resulting transformation values, a corresponding analysis is carried out at an analysis section 23. In the analysis section 23, the corresponding analysis can also been carried out by additionally utilizing complementary data added from a complementary section 32.
