<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a department management system for making it unnecessary to provide any server computer, and unnecessary to stop equipment on a network at the time of newly registering and erasing departments, and at the time of changing department contents. <P>SOLUTION: This department management system is provided with image processors 2-1 to 2-n equipped with department management functions and an image processor 1 equipped with the intensive management function of department management data. The department management system is provided with access rights A and B. The image processor 1 is provided with a department data intensive management part 21 constituted of an access request processing part 30, an access right A control part 40 and an access right B control part 50. The access request processing part 30 controls permission/non-permission when acquiring the access right, and the access right A control part 40 newly registers and erases department codes in a network, and changes a department limit value.
