OPTICAL CONNECTOR WITH SHIELDING MECHANISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector device in which light does not leak until immediately before connectors are fitted together and the size of which is reduced by making the housing space of a shielding member smaller. SOLUTION: The optical connector device has a first optical connector and a second optical connector and is so composed that the shielding members are provided to shield light emitted from respective optical connectors, the first and second optical connectors are connected by moving the shielding members to a position at which the light is not shielded by allowing the shielding members to abut on each other. The shielding members are inserted into the inside of the second optical connector while keeping the abutted state with each other after the shielding members of the first and second optical connectors are moved.
