<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damping apparatus for a steering system, which apparatus has a novel structure and can show an effective vibration damping effect for the vibration of a steering wheel in the steering system of an automobile, the steering system having a telescopic steering column. <P>SOLUTION: The steering system of the automobile, the steering system having the telescopic steering column 13, comprises an actuator 30 which is arranged between the telescopic steering column 13 and a vehicle body 18 and applies an external force to the telescopic steering column 13 and the vehicle body 18, and a control means 50 for controlling the output of the actuator 30 according to the state of the automobile. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
