A battery is provided, which can prevent internal resistance rise, caused by a temperature change or a mechanical impact, by lowering a contact resistance between a battery cover and a safety valve. And the battery is excellent in productivity. The battery comprises the battery cover(50) and the safety valve(41) overlapped on the open part of a battery container(20) containing a power generating element(10), wherein an arithmetical average roughness of the contact face of the battery cover(50) and the safety valve(41) is 0.5-5.5 micrometer. And the maximum height of the contact face is 8.0-50.0 micrometer. |
