A method for processing a camera image in a mobile communication terminal is provided to rotate a camera module left and right at 180 degrees when an object is located in a backward direction of a display device, photographs the object, invert the photographed image by an image data unit of one line, and display an erected image. When an object is located in a forward direction of a display device, an image signal of the object is displayed on the display device(S3,S4). When the object is located in a backward direction of the display device, a camera module is rotated left and right and the object is photographed to store an inputted image signal by a line image signal unit(S5). The stored line image signal is repeatedly converted into an erected image signal. If all image signals of one frame are converted into the erected image signals, the erected image signals are displayed on the display device(S6-S8).
