PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic switch for a starter capable of preventing the wear of the inside wall of an insulation cap because a material having excellent wear resistance is provided for the inside wall surface of the insulation cap to which a moving contact contacts during its rotation, purposefully restricting the rotation of the moving contact in the case of a moving contact having a round shape, and preventing the wear of an insulation mold and an insulation washer. SOLUTION: Protection bodies A formed of materials having excellent wear resistance are arranged on the inside wall of the insulation cap in order to prevent the inside wall of the insulation cap from being worn by the rotative contact of the moving contact on it when the moving contact having various shapes housed in the insulation cap oppositely to a fixed contact and held to an axially movable shaft through an insulator is rotated by vibration or the like.
